Kristy Rose Follmar

Director of Marketing & Creative Development

Kristy holds a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications and marketing from Ball State University and is a certified digital marketing expert through the Digital Marketing Institute. She is also a certified fitness professional through the American College of Sports Medicine.


Before joining MEDiSURG, Kristy worked as a production assistant for Fox 59 News. She later co‑founded a successful non‑profit organization called Rock Steady Boxing, which helps individuals with movement disorders improve their quality of life through fitness. Her passion for visual storytelling, marketing, and collaboration with the medical community over the last two decades fuels her desire to help MEDiSURG succeed as a leader in ophthalmic equipment.


Kristy has been with MEDiSURG since 2021 and has known John for over 15 years. She supports his vision by sharing MEDiSURG’s work with the ophthalmology community through online training options and by creating marketing materials, including social media content, newsletters, and video promotions.


Outside of work, Kristy loves the outdoors, biking, and hiking. She also continues her role as a personal trainer, guided by her passion for holistic wellness.
